Brake masters.

I have salvaged late model brake and clutch masters and associated parts. This summer when I install the new motor, I've been wondering if the brakes an upgrade is another thing that should be on the agenda. Presently the old dual master still works fine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

The old dual-master is great IF it is in good shape and IF you remember to ADD some brake fluid when the fronts are about 1/2 way down (and remember to REMOVE some when you replace the pads). The calipers can hold much more fluid than the old cylinders and your master can (and HAS) run empty because of this.
A resivoir extender as used on the MGA and Mini will help the situation.

I have spoke of my mechanical skills being just good enough, but not good enough to really design and make big mods. This is just what I needed to hear, because I'm not unhappy with my setup, I thought when chaging the motors, it would be easier to do. The 1275 bugeye(5 speed)is a blassst to drive, I'm fantasizing about the supercharger. Thanks for the imput. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
