Brake line question

Hey Guys,
I've made a ton of progress with midget thanks to Chris and Roy  The engine is installed after long hours over Chris's rebuilding the entire thing. Well more chris instructing me and me trying not to break anything. Now i'm trying to get the brake line that I snapped months ago replaced and i've been told that the only way to go is with the kit that Moss sells $$. I noticed on VB that they sell individual steel brake lines but there is a disclaimer that says "excludes early midgets and sprites". No years though? Is a 68 considered an early midget? The line says that it has the bubble flare so it looks like it would work. Any help would be great. The part # I was looking at is 6-686 on VB.

Also I need the line that connects the master clutch cylinder
to the slave hose. Is this something that has to be made or can I buy a premade line? Thanks for the help.

hello, have you tried the classifieds on this site, I notice there are some people parting out midgets, they might have what you need. also on ebay there are people doing same that might be a source hope this helps.

might be just as easy to make one/ get one made I don't think it is too hard

Roger,

Buy a premade length of 3/16" bubble flared tube in a length longer than you need (allied has them in stock), bend it to the right shape starting at the Tee fitting and then cut it to the final length to meet the flexible brake line. This end gets a double flare (yes you can borrow my flare tool) and you're done. You will need to source the nut on the flex hose end if you don't have one but I can check my spares.

I just checked - I do have one.

Thanks Chris, I finally checked the quetion I asked a week ago...I know, I know. I'll see if I can get that setup from Rod on th classified's if not i'll be trying my hand at fabbing one. What kind of beer do you like again??
