brake line clips

Hmmm... refresh my memory. What do they look like?

Plastic??

This is on my '74 Midget.
There are two small holes in the cross member under the radiator and behind the steering rack where the line crosses to the left caliper. In the holes were vertical clips made of white plastic that the brake line was inserted. They were so brittle that when I removed the old line they just broke into pieces. They held the line just above the cross member.

Hi
I have extra from my recent build with the tubes I ordered from Moss. PM me and I will send them.
Scott in CA.

My "hairpins" are metal. I bought some recently for my Bugeye but they were a bit larger than the originals and wouldn't fit. I'm wondering if they were slightly larger on post Bugeye spridgets. I've seen the plastic ones. The PO had used them on original Whitephrog's the gas line. They appeared to work well.

Figures plastic on the newer stuff. No plastic on Bugeyes. Metal hairpins.

Knobs, stearing wheel, coil cap, dizzy cap.

Think it is all bakalight (sp).

I can not think of any plastic unless the vinyl seat covers?

I also ordered the tubing kit from Moss. The lines from Moss are a slightly smaller diameter than the original break lines. The plastic hairpins did not fit in the original holes on the chassis crossmember, to small. I have a couple of used metal hairpins I can send you if you need them. Drop me a P.M. if the others don't fit.

Hi Ohio,

I am dealing with a several incorrect TR6 parts I received from Moss yesterday in preparation for a show tomorrow. And before I realized all the misfits, had just ordered a bunch more for my Midget, including the brake line kit, and am not in a happy place after reading your post.

I will let you know how this goes. Thanks for the offer.
