TR2/3/3A Brake light switch.

The switch I am replacing is an AC switch so that may be why the contacts did not always make.

Old switch.

The new switch mounted. The bracket needs to be painted. Seems to work fine.

I may weld the bracket together if it looks ilke this setup works OK.

I just had this same issue. I used a Borg Warner S237 brake switch mounted to a custom bracket I made and fitted under the dash at the brake pedal support. Then I just ran new extension wires from the old brake switch wiring to the new switch. Works like a charm. Here is a picture of how I have it mounted (I found this picture on-line somewhere to give me an idea on how to create the bracket)

I changed the brake fluid in my Harley yesterday. Turns out Harley used the same pressure switch as the TR3! That surprised me. It also explains why those pressure switches are so available and cheap everywhere...they were used on fords, Chevy, Harley, and Triumph that I know of so far.
