Brake Hose replacement advice

Took the suggestion from another thread and ordered&received a pair of front brake hoses fo my Midget.

One end of the new hose is coned and the other straight thread.
The end with the cone I imagine will seat with out leaking. the other end looks like it needs a copper washer or something to seal.

I have not even looked at my old hoses yet, but do I need anything eles beside the hoses to replace the existing hoses? and do you use any type of sealant on connections ?

No sealant, gesh. Good way to die.

NO SEALANT.
