Okies, Miss Agatha is now back on the road even if the clutch pedal is not bleed correctly. Have about 2/3 of the pedal slop. Not sure what the prob really is but I will get it worked out. Mean while she is runnable. Two months setting and started on second short crank.
I would not be surprised if my clutch speedie bleeder is not working as advertised. Think I will take it out and bench check it. When I am pumping the clutch pedal and watching the clear drain line attached it pushes fluid out but then sucks it back as well. Hmmmm, that ain't right, maybe a bit of gunk in it. Oh well, another day.

Jack--I have a little experience with these. First, it is easy to open them too far. A quarter turn is all.
Speed bleeder makes a sealant https://www.ebay.com/itm/like/390909553413?lpid=82 that you will need to put on the threads if you have opened and closed the bleeder over and over. I have used PTFE paste, but there is a proprietary dope they make for this purpose that I suspect works better. Had better luck bleeding my clutch than my newly installed disk brakes.
I'm sure that you have much much more experience than me, but I used the speed bleeder, a vacuum bleeder, and I did my bleeding with the cylinder hanging as far toward the floor as the pipe would allow. I pushed the piston into the slave cylinder as far as I could and wired it there.
Worked the first time. Beginner's luck I guess. :fat:

Got it, clutch bleed. Gosh I hate that clutch nipple access. Must be a better way to get at the bleeder. Hmm, maybe a special bent 12 point box wrench, not a short one. Size would be 3/8 th, time to look in my box maybe for an extra one. I hate open end wrenchs when I can not see.
Also refinished the windsheld wiper moter and metal gear cover. Now to reinstall all.
I only spend about 15 min in the garage at a time so it all goes very slow.

i met met a guy at Dayton British days show that provides a remote clutch bleeder kit with SS braided lines that routes the bleeder up top so you can access & bleed without crawling under the car. IIRC it was $50-60 for the complete setup with all needed parts and pieces. Sounds like this is just the ticket for you. PM if you want his contact info. I scored a nice set of SS front hoses from him. His craftsmanship is excellent.
