Brake accummulator problems

1989 XJS Coupe. Whenever I touch the brake peddle the little motor under the brake accummulator runs for 3-4 sec. Sometimes the abs light comes on. Any ideas.
 
The motor running on the ABS after actuation is normal. It has lost the operating pressure that it requires. You will not need an entire unit. check the pressure regulator and other components that effect the amount of pressu;re stored in the system. Sometimes it is the pressure detector. Jack Farrington
