Braided fuel lines 29 f engine

My Healey has a 29F series engine (the one that followed the 3 carb version). There is a braided fuel line that runs from the incoming copper line to the carbs. One end of the braided line has a nut connection that threads on to a threaded connection at the end of the end of the copper line. The current nut at the end of the braided line is permantly attached to the line and machine clamped into place. The other end just slips onto nipple and is held in by a twist clamp. The rubber hose inside the braid has detoriated and I cannot find a braided line with the the nut attached.
 
I believe the original fuel line coming up from below the car would have been steel. The threads on the end that would go to the nut on the braided hose would be a BPPT (British Parallel Pipe Thread) . If you are happy with the fit of the current braided hose onto the fuel pipe, stainless braided fuel line with AN6 fittings can be used. An adapter to the BPPT is available if the threads are original. Pegasus racing can be a good source for what you need, but a good speed shop will usually be able to help.Bob
 
Thanks for the information. After a great deal of work I was able to extract the threaded fitting from the end of the braided hose. It was pinched in with a metal crimp. The hose inside the crimp was placed over a seperate nipple that in turn was placed through and open top threaded nut. It is hard to understand how the somewhat flexable nipple portion could hold pressure but it does. I ended up using some high pressure rubber fuel line and connected it down the path od the braided line and it seems to work. Not original perhaps but all is well that ends well. I will however check into the braided line, I am not sure why it was used. The rubber inside the braid had really detoriated, however I an now using gas with no ethanol so perhaps that will help.
