Bragging Rights, Anyone?

Mickey,

Makes me wish I had unlimited funds for my LBC hobby. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
It still has 7+ days left... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Maybe I should go buy a winning Lotto ticket? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I always wonder: How do these people FIND these things? Never happened to me! (Of course, if it did, I imagine I wouldn't have the means to do anything about it if it did!)

I found an LE with 128 miles on it a few years ago, like new (duh).

I was reading that E-Bay ad and he says it has real leather - I didn't know that was even an option, guess you learn something all the time.

Leather was not even an option on the later MGBs. It isn't listed on the Heritage Certificate either. The paint blisters look due to a dodgy respray......prep work not done quite correctly I would assume. It does have historical significance that is true, but it's not quite as "original" as the seller states. I am nit-picking though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, if you want to pick nits... The head rests are the old style (not a surprise, mind you, they are what comes with the MGOC Leather kit)(which is the same kit Moss Motors sells)Can't get a good look at the door panels or carpeting, but I would bet on the same "Kit Items". But like you say... still historically significant (and easily returned to "stock".

Apparently, Henry Ford didn't think much of it or he would have kept it!

Sounds a bit fishy to me . . . And, it will need a fairly big resto job to be a good driver.

Think I'll pass on this one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

It gets fishier.

"The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."

That's what happened just now.

Think I'll stick with my ugly old non-famous '79 (At least I can say "Just like Henry Ford's and mean it)
