My usual spridget list is down, sigh. So, here I am. I recognize some familiar folks here, though.
I just bought a 75 Spitfidget that was supposedly abandoned at a mechanic's shop. So, I assume it needs some major engine work. The valve cover, radiator, and fan were removed. I am picking the car up tomorrow. What can I expect to find wrong with the 1500? I'm used the 1275 A-series motors that you just hit really hard with a BFH and they run fine. Depending on the amount of rust, it may be a moot point, i.e. if rusty, will part. But, if the tub is not too rusty I may try and put it back on the roat. Any pointers from Spitfidgeteers that have BTDT?
