Bought Spitfidget, Now What?

My usual spridget list is down, sigh. So, here I am. I recognize some familiar folks here, though.
I just bought a 75 Spitfidget that was supposedly abandoned at a mechanic's shop. So, I assume it needs some major engine work. The valve cover, radiator, and fan were removed. I am picking the car up tomorrow. What can I expect to find wrong with the 1500? I'm used the 1275 A-series motors that you just hit really hard with a BFH and they run fine. Depending on the amount of rust, it may be a moot point, i.e. if rusty, will part. But, if the tub is not too rusty I may try and put it back on the roat. Any pointers from Spitfidgeteers that have BTDT?
Cheers,
Derf

The thrust washers are a common item that wears out on the Spit motors, if they wear too much the inside one can drop into the pan and damage the crank.

You can pretty much plan on turning the crank. If you don't have to it will be a miracle.

A lot of what might have to be done depends on the mileage.
Besides the thrust washers, the big end bearings may have to be replaced and possibly the main bearings. If very high mileage, possibly the cam shaft.
