Now that my TR6 is off the two year jackstands stint,
it's time for an Old Car project for which I'm actually
an expert and know what I'm doing!!

Tinster, a car project, an expert? No way you say!

Stay tuned for photos as the project progresses.
Here's my new and primary tool for the Triumph project.
Yes, that's a diamond blade.

Dale...count yer fingers first...

Measure twice, cut once.

If it's a wetsaw you can run your finger into it without any damage. I can count on two hands the ten times I did it

Oh ho... I think I know what's coming.... I won't spoil Dales surprise. only to say that he is a true expert in this area, and I'm sure the results will be reallly cool.
Dale, make sure to factor in vibration, flex, and temprature change.(like I need to tell you)
I can't wait....

Yup Doc and add a homemade, water cooled, Sears router with 30
carbide marble burr bits, a coupla slabs of Eye-tal-yun marble
and 400 hours cutting time and you get a dining room floor
the "experts" claimed was impossible to carve. Don't ya love it
when someone tells you something cannot be accomplished because
it too difficult?

BTW: The one flower alone took about 40 hours cutting time.

WOW!! I can't wait to see that in real life!

I ~had~ a whacking good DK wet saw when I did the floors here, accurate cuts were easy. Soon discovered the capacity to "carve" ceramic. Fun stuff! And ~yes~ it's regarded as challenge when some mook says: "You can't DO that!" The hovel now has diagonal tile gunwhale-to-gunwhale. No design patterns tho. And I "lost" the DK 'cause of stupidity (loaned it to a 'friend'--you'd think I'd have learned, but NOOOO!) and picked up one of those El-cheese-O ones. Was AMAZED at the thing. For what you can do with it, I now consider it a "throw-away" for the price. Tho I've used it heavily and it shows NO sign of stopping. GREAT bargain! Herself's kitchen backsplash is neat as a pin, one bedroom floor is done with it and two more are "on the list". I dare not show her those pix...

All I need is another non-car project to eat up more of my time! :jester:
