I had an old Jeep(Cherokee Wagoneer, with big off road tires and more rust than metal) and the power locks where useless...So I put a few old Shotgun shells up on the dash....Nobody ever touched it.
 
I had that trailer special made by a company here in town to tow behind my RV or Sonoma....my big Dodge doesn't even know its back there!
 
I too have been thinking about a Bugeye drive on trailer, class 3 hitch, 1290 lbs load, drive on. Guess it would work for a midget as well or even a B' maybe.

That trailer has a 14' bed including the 2' dovetail..MGB's & Midgets fit nicely on the flat part...its high enough that its level behind anything I tow with but the fenders are low enough that I can open doors on any MG...& the 5' ramps stored alongside the trailer act as protection for the car from road debris...it has a small electric winch & its own deep cell battery that is charged through my pickup system...also has a automtic disconnect setup that, if it ever breaks away from my truck, locks all 4 wheels (has electric brakes on both axles).

But, Jerri's VW Bug is too big for it!
 
With a LOA of 13.3, 14 would be perfect I think. Trying to find someone making them that small has been a frustrating failure so far. Want to trailer one of the topperware* specials to Stowe in 3 weeks, looks like U-Haul for this trip.
Oh well....

Well, I just drove my MG over the the factory...they made some measurements & built her...I'm sure he'd be glad to build others just like it.
 
And just what range of bucks are we talking here Tony.
 
I porbably have less than $2,000 in it - but it was built in 2003.
 
Tony, I have a trailer built by U-Haul... the good news is that they keep it at their lot for me, rent it out to other people, and they charge me $60 a day every time I use it....

Well that's not too bad even with what it would be today. The darn rental trailers are too heavy. They are built to take cadilacs or trucks.
 
I was able to do lots of things with it you can't do when buying a strock trailer...my axles are set farther back so it turns on a dime, the lights are waterproof, its got diamond plate flooring & the tongue area is floored so I can toss stuff in it....right now, they're making a neat little motorcycle front wheel piece that will drop down in some holes through the diamond plate into sleeves welded to crossmembers so I can run my Norton up on it....& they're going to add a couple more recessed "D" hooks for tying down the Norton.
 
Ahh Tony, you live in a civilized place where those kind of things are done as a routine part of customer service. Here, the diamond plate is used to keep stray shots out of the house.
But...if U-Haul is $60/day like Ron said then perhaps having one made up isn't too bad a choice. Now, where can I keep it....??
 
The keeping it is the problem for me as well.

I REALLY would like to buy a trailer... Renting one is always such a pain in the arse... But, the only way I could store it is to get rid on the A, the B, and the Healey... Then, why would I need it??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
