Bottom end of the market

Hey Bill,
Sure, you could just straighten out that frame, stick in a small block V-8 and have a Nasty Boy ! You could feature it in your articles on the values for big Healey's about how to lose money on a Healey project !!!
Mike

^Exactly.

Wrench, I have no idea how to repair a frame. I would send the thing to Martin Jansen and ask him to fix the frame and body and paint it some two tone color scheme and then send it back to me for engine and tranny. I would install a Honda F22C motor and six speed tranny. 2.2 litres, 240 hp, 160 ft lbs of torque and an 8,000 rpm redline. The car would end up weighing a good bit less than stock. I'm sure that is what Donald had in mind.

Front fender, front shroud and hood all look beat. The hood might be salvageable, but the shroud looks pretty bad. I'm not feeling it.

Bill,
I know the car and it was kept as a perfect racer until the accident. My car is currently being assembled in the next building over from it. Any questions....I'm willing to answer what I know. The owner is my patient and a very nice guy! The frame dos need Marty Jensen's help!

Thanks Rich. It is now over $8400 and the auction ends in 3 hours. The price is too high and the time too short for me to do anything on this one. Best of luck to your patient and congrats to him on the sale.

It is a nice car with no rust, but for sure it needs new frame, superstructure, fender, shroud. Then add the engine and trans and it's a bundle of money....more than it's really worth on the secondary market. nice car for someone who wants a racer and isn't counting their money.
