At least mine does. The smoke got out and the darn thing quit working.

The Bosch hasn't died yet, but on my old KitchenAid dishwasher, Lucas would have been an upgrade! It's amazing how shoddy it was inside, for what I thought was a premium brand.

I had a fuse link on the circuit board of my Bosch dishwasher go out but was able to effect repairs myself. Otherwise it's been a good washer for over 12 years. (I think it's been 12 years)

Have an old GE here, gave up doing surgery on it quite a while back. Now it's storage for pots-n-pans. We don't generate enough dirty dishes to warrant the expense of a replacement.

Surprised you didn't just convert it to a mini fridge for the CAB :cool-new:

Already had one inna garage, so pot locker it is.

Well I guess the Bosch did last for 18 years. Haven't open it up for a look-see yet but if it's just the control board it is still available for a couple hundred. Maybe today.

Good plan, actually. We've had several appliances go for many "extra" years by doing diagnostics and fixing them with either 'factory' parts or suitable substitutes. Several benefits over the "scrap and replace", disposable mindset.

My GE Monogram served me well for 29 years! Of course I had been inside it’s “innards” over the years to make any necessary repairs.
