Bored

I've decided that sometime within the next 12 months, I'm going to purchase myself some hardware and build me a MythTV box, and use it to replace my loud arse Mac G4 Debian box.

I don't do a lot on my Linux box these days. Well, not much after it's all set up. The best thing about Linux; if you don't need to have all the GUI stuff, it's about as "set it and forget it" an OS as you can get. Although, I have to admit, I had to shove 3 new iptables chains into it last night to make my Xbox 360 happy... yeah yeah... i didn't think i'd ever buy one of those things either...

Did Linux steal that "Roaming Gnome"? Or is that a Myth? That tall red hat he's wearing is definitely not a Fedora Core!

So what is your opinion of Fedora Core?

Great, IMO... Just that CentOS v5 has 'finally' hit, too... I attempted install on an Athlon today with DISMAL result. Pro'lly stuff Core 7 on it t'morrow.

Jump, Jimmy. Fedora Core is friendly enuff. Just be diligent with what you need it to do. Break it! Bend it and learn it. You could do worse... XP is, umm, err... 'inferior' in so many ways. Stuff it on a machine you can fuss with "in private". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
