BORED!!!!!!

I'm at work, it's raining outside, AND I'M BORED!!!! Want to go home and play with the cars.

Totally sympathetic!

six more hours - looking at e-bay austin healey section - new listings - reading stuff I don't need just to pass the time - gotta be careful, that's how I bought the bugeye earlier this week!

heheee!

Tho the weather here is better, I'm trapped doin' 'dumb work stuff' instead of playin' out. BAH!

I think I'll procrastinate on this print server job and go for a top-down run to the quik-rip... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

BORED!! Come play in my garage....I was in it until 8pm last night going through new parts orders that I need to ship today, checking to see what my part time help had done while I was out of town, trying to figure out backorders, pondering how to install the wheels on my 4-post lift, studying the installation instructions for the new screen doors for my overhead doors...

.....& I didn't even get to look at any of my cars!

still raining. if I go home, the seats are out of the 100-6, putting new ones in, the sprite (67) is in the middle of getting a new choke cable, there's plenty that I could do, but I can't leave work. 5 1/2 hours to go

Got plenty to do in my new garage if I could just get to it, we just moved into it two weeks ago, had a commercial building out back remodeled over the winter, and we carved a four car (LBC sized) garage out of it. Problem seems to be that my 100-6 and 67 sprite were on the road until I had a garage, now they're in various states of taken apart, and I'm having trouble finding the time to finish what I started on them. My girlfriend (wife next week) said to me last night "I'm taking the sprite into town to pick up a couple of things), and I had to tell her she couldn't, I had pieces of it laying all around it. Oops

Just so your mind is occupied for the next hour and a bit: Decided to combine all the run-around. Did a top-down run to the corner Quik-Rip, two banking stops, client phoned and whined over the "loss" of a specialty printer (HE pulled the power cord and when repowered the silly thing wouldn't print) so was *forced* to continue the drive... fixed that dilemma and went off for a Chinese buffet lunch.

Work, work, work... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Yeah, I know: I'm pond scum /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

POND SCUM!!!!!

one hour, 15 minutes!

suns out

Spent the day trying to find a part to order from Tony - it's an obscure thing for the longbridge 100-6, nobody even knows what I'm talking about.

down to under an hour here.
counting the minutes.
have the front end of the engine bay to put back together tomorrow if it is raining, or a trip to buy flooring if it isn't.

lets pray for rain...

Bored is what sits on my desk daily!

Dr-

Raining like Noah here. Spent the entire day
preparing to install mostly a new rear in the
Crypt Car's passenger side.

Bored? Head yerself out to the airport, catch a
flight to San Jaun this evening and I'll meet you
at the airport in the Grey Ghost. Can't miss the
Ghost, only Wrangler like it on the island. You'd
know a Tinster car without thinking about it! je,je,je.

You can help me put Crypty back together and we
can tell lies about my 'Ropa and your Elan!

Come on Down!

It's going to be the weekend, so it will probably rain - good luck with your engine bay /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'm GONE

bah... I have another 3 hours to go.

Seein' all ya'll talkin' about leavin' and workin' on yer cars makes me wanna just dip on outa here!

Man... 11 PM before I got a chance to get on the BCF. We've been swamped at work. I haven't had enough hours in the day. I look at a clock and think "crud! how am I gonna get all this done before customers start screaming and they shut the lights off on me?" Not easy stuff either. I've opened 3 cases with Toyota Tec assistance this week on oddball problems that other shops have given up on. Even Tec assistance was stumped. 2 outta 3 solved But I gotta go in tomorrow for a half an hour and finish up the really nasty one that needed a part we had to search the country for after I figured out which part it needed. That part should be there in the AM. Then I have a memorial service to go to, then I might get to sit down and make a Moss order

whew!

I don't know what's busier, my work weeks, or my weekends! I think I've spent a total of 3 waking hours in my own place this weekend. The rest of the time was out on the town Fri night (didn't make it home!), Ren Faire on Sat, and all day today at my friends' place occupying their driveway for B maintenance, and adjustments.

I'll be glad to go back to work tomorrow so I can relax!!

You guys think you're busy, try retiring! I'm busier now than I ever was.......yesterday was the first time I've had a chance to work on one of my personal cars in months!
