I'm restoring my BJ7, got the boot lid back from the paint stripper and it looks like swiss cheese. My body guy says it's beyond repair, but I don't want to pop for a new one. Anyone got a good serviceable boot lid they would like to sell?

I don't have a lid to sell but I am interested in where you had the paint stipping done. Was it a "dipper" shop and did you have the frame stripped also. I've been looking for a stripping shop but haven't found one in the western US.

There is, or at least was, a place in Denver that has the capacity to dip an entire car. I can find out the name if you are interested. Have a good day!

My car body is being restored by a gentleman in Yakima, Washington. He sent the boot lid to someone local to him, but I don't know who. I purchased the car as a restoration work-in-progress. The previous owner had sent the chassis to Martin Jansen at Jule Enterprises for a complete rebuild. I guess that is the long way of saying that I did not have the whole chassis dipped.

And just to let everyone know, we have located a useable boot lid in Seattle.
