You can purchase a reprint of the official factory workshop manual from Austin Healey Club USA www.healey.org

If you are not already a member you should join, as I believe that you have to belong in order to buy the book! Well worth the membership fee of $35, the book is $42 from them.
 
I have never found a 'definitive' repair manual. Even the factory manual leaves out important [to me] details. Just try the overdrive tests in there sometime. It goes into great detail about how to conduct the various tests without telling you what results to expect or what to do if your od doesn't act correctly!

The best repair manual is printed each month in "Healey Marque", the newsletter of the Austin-Healey Club of America. They should compile those cumulative repair articles and print them in book format. Now THERE'S the definitive repair manual! AL Bradley
 
You should strongly consider purchasing the "driver's handbook" for your model Healey. This book is the one that "came with the car" or the "owner's manual". It has lots of really great stuff in an easy to assimilate fashion. I found the one for my BJ8 to be very, very worthwhile. It goes for around $17 or so. Well worth it in my opinion. Also, it fits in the glove box. Regards! Steve

Besides the Factory workshop manual,I have a Haynes manual. Many descriptions are verbatum from the workshop manual but there are more step by step instructions, more pictures and reference info on spark plugs, etc.. Good as a cross reference before diving into something. I've also heard good things about the Bently manuals i.e. more detail oriented. These other manuals can be harder to find but they are out there on ebay and the used market. I read that the Haynes was reprinted a few years ago but I couldn't find a source last time I looked. Anybody else know where to find these other manuals?
