has anyone considered streamlining a sprite so that it can be like the old BMC days when they actually set a speed record with an a-series...
 
I've got a book out of the library right now called "Triumph's in America." Streamliners don't really move me but I am entranced by the paintwork and lettering on some promotional & service cars. - I've seen similar MG pics
 
There was an A-series streamliner back in the day... have to look it up in one of my Healey books.

Never been out to the Salt Flats for speed week, really need to make the treck some day. It's only about 3 hours or so from my house.
 
I have thought about it alot, with both a Spridget and a MGB, but the money thing keeps getting in the way /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Somebody posted a link to a Bonneville Sprite not to long ago. I think it was Jack...maybe...
 
It was. I no longer have the link though. Have to look in the archives.

if your really interested in goin to bonneville, we have a 61 sprite (mk2) that could be a donor car, maybe if you build up a 948...or a 1098...or a 1275...we can run in I or H class...my padre also knows an old dude that ran at el mirage a few years back, so we might have some info pertaining to building a drylakes racer(safety-wise)...anyone want to make up a team for the revival of BMC speed records...
