Ten yrs ago when I brought my bugeye back to life, in my travels on the highway, the bonnet came up. I had to rework the hinges and the supports, but it didn't hurt the bonnet. However, the drivers support has not worked every time I pick the front up. I can usually hold the gear back and get it to engage, but is there a resolution to make the gear in the support to engage.
