Bonnet Opening Reversal

I'm about to reverse the way my bonnet opens (from stock to clam shell like an XKE) and it just dawned on me that I haven't seen anything that shows how you latch it closed. What have you guys done?

I saw a bugeye at a show that used some latches from an suv tailgate and the associated locating pins (it was well put together). Some people have used those horrible latches from the spitfire.

I have seen folks use rubber hold downs.

You could go with old fashioned leather straps with buckles, for that Morgan look.
