bonnet hinge bolt removal

Anyone have any ideas on how to remove bonnet hinge bolts on a TR4 when the captive nuts are broken loose? 2 of the 3 that go straight up into the bonnet it appears that the nuts have broken loose inside. Any way of getting into them to get the bolts out without doing major surgery to the framework? I've thought about cutting a section out and then welding it back in but if there is a better way I'm all ears err eyes.

How about cut/grind the head off the bolt?

Thats how the hinge got taken off the bonnet (not by me) but I need to get the rest of the bolt out of the captive nut that is inside the framework of the bonnet.

Sounds as if you're between th' devil and th' deep...

If the captive nut is spinning you will likely need to cut access to it thru one side of the box it's in and replace it. PITA, but "done once, right" is likely all there is to do.

Thats what I was afraid of. Fortunately the area that I'll have to cut out will be covered by the hinge when its back together but still a major PITA to do. Was hoping someone else might have run into it and had some slick little trick to do it.
