Bone China Windscreens ?

The windscreen on my BJ8 bears the logo of Royal Doulton, a company famous for its porcelain and other chinawares.

Does anyone know the background to this? I can see that they would have large kilns that might be suitable for glass tempering - but this is a laminated screen not a toughened one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

So with this overwhelming response do I assume no one else has the Royal Doulton logo etched into the windscreen of their BJ8?

I have run across a reference to a Royal Doulton tinted windshield, so I guess they were in the business at some time. I would guess that it is probably tempered rather than laminated. As TH said, it would not be considered original.

Nope - it's definately laminated - not only does it say so, but the top rh corner is showing signs of delaminiation, with those rainbow effects ! Picture attached.
