Bolts for engine -> transmission

Anyone know offhand what bolt size(s) I need? I seem to remember that when I split the 1275 and transmission originally there were a few different lengths, and some had nuts and some went into a threaded bit. I've got the original bolts handy to match, but figured I'd ask.

My weekend goal is to put the new motor into the car. Still not that close to getting it running, but just getting it in place will be a huge step forward.

I can't remember off the top of my head, about 5/16 size, 2 1/2" length or so, if you have a dial caliper take the end of it, stick it thru the hole and that should help you fiquire out the length. I use mostly grade 8 fastner, even when it more than the application calls for, because of the yellow cad plating, you'll see those all over your engine.

Are all the bolts the same size?

I've been replacing things with grade 8 where I've been putting in new bolts. The yellow cad plating does look nice.

I went to my local Fastenal store this week and bought a bunch of grade 8 yellow zinc screws and washers. The look so good.
