Bolt packages for Dummies

Don't ya just hate it when you buy bolts for a project, then can't remember which ones go where? Well, my memory ain't so good anymore and I hate looking up the sizes, (lazy again) so these folks take all of that away.

I originally called them for the fender kit, which includes the special washers, but bought the others while I was there. Great quality and really nice packaging. I have replaced some of mine already, so it will be nice to have the leftover spares tagged with their exact location.

MMS & Accessories (Stainless Steel Fastener and Hardware)

Oh, BTW, Nancy returned my late evening call the next morning and shipped same day as promised.

What, no acme threads?

They look great, doesn't look like they have any TR3 assortments though.

NOW you post the web site!!

After I've replaced almost every fastener in the
car. First with stainless which I removed. And
finally with #5s and #8s. Lost count of the number of trip cross town to the fastener specialty shop.

Now I've got the site bookmarked. I wonder if
they ship to the foreign country of Puerto Rico?

There was a vendor on the net some few years ago that marketed stainless fasteners specifically for the TR6. Nice idea, I thought. Bought a bunch of their products for my car (their packaging was suspiciously similar to what you have shown, Paul.) and ended up throwing the whole lot away, and went back to regular steel SAE #5 and #8 stuff. A lot of their stainless didn't fit (poor quality) and I later found that things like stainless bolts to hold the motor mounts on were not as strong as quality (not Lowes) #5 or #8. I now get all my hardware from a supplier that supplies bolts to the marine industry. Beware of using stainless in high-stress applications.

The store shows that it will ship internationally and PR was one of the choices.

Hey Bill !!

If my old geezer memory serves me right today, I am
fairly certain you were TR6 expert who let me know
all the stainless steel fasteners I installed after
removing PDO Pedro's metric fasteners- needed to come out.

BLARGH- I was really unhappy. But I followed your advice.

It was a valuable lesson for me and really helped when
I replaced the front and rear suspensions.

Bill,

These are all grade 5 and they are strictly for non stress areas. I would never use them elsewhere.

I got this link from the 6-Pack forum and several guys there who really liked them.

Didn't know that they made a grade 5 stainless fastener. I always thought that SS fasteners were generally much softer.

They make them but you wouldn't want to pay for them.
