TR2/3/3A Body removal TR3

OK...so I am moving forward. I hunted down a guy to media blast the body so I can see what is good and what is bad. The next step is pull the body off the frame so he can access all sides. I will be bracing the doors and frame to the tunnel, but what needs to be removed from the motor so it will clear. Also what is the best way to disconnect the steering?
 
I would NOT remove the body from the frame until the sills and rockers are done.That does FOUR things.1 you dont have to brace up the apertures. 2 All your welds get cleaned for you.3 You dont have to cut out the bracing latter and repair what you screwed up.4 With the body on the frame for welding, you dont have nearly as much trouble getting things right.
Take it from a guy who has done 7 or 8 of these.......or wish you had latter.

The steering column has to come out. Depending on the age of the car the steering column is either 1 piece or 2. The one piece is on earlier cars and defintely more difficult to remove. Remove the steering wheel up top, and then undo the steering box from from below and pull the column out the bottom.
