body painting question

I'm taking on a new project shortly consisting of a temporary (meaning just for the summer/fall months) paint job. I've got a nice glossy red to lay down, but I wanted to know if I should put down a layer of something else underneath (white maybe?) to help allow the red to really hold it's true color and gloss.

thoughts?

I always use an epoxy primer from PPG. They are listed under the DP catagory of products. You coat the car just before spraying the top coat. this product helps to seal all body work and primer and provides excellent colour hold out.
Cheers, David.
