MGA Body and Chassis Separation?

57 MGA - I noticed in a blog on MG Heaven, that this restorer separated the body and chassis, painted chassis black and then painted all body light blue.
Excellent info and high-caliber welding and metal work. Anyway, I previously rebuilt an AH 100-6, from fully disassembled. I had no idea if the chassis and body could be separated. The painting issues with painting the chassis and front and rear body components - then the fenders, hood, and trunk are real.
Might be a dumb question, but is the separation of MGA body and chassis a "remove the bolts"-thing, or are there welds to be ground, etc.?
Cleaning and painting the chassis, running hydraulic lines and wiring - then reinstalling the body would be considerably easier.
I appreciate any comments - THANKS.
