Bob Johnson R.I.P.

Bob Johnson died on October 16th. Old guys will remember him as a great Cobra driver - prior to that he drove his Corvette to a SCCA national championship in 1960. Navy WW2 vet.

A real loss to the Shelby community.
For sure I've seen Bob Johnson race....in Trans Am, I'm pretty sure.
One of the "originals" in the Cobra legacy.

By the way, the beginning of that link came from Rick Kopek (from SAAC).
Rick's younger brother is a former student of mine and we are still friends.
I've ridden in Rick's GT-350H.

My dad was entered in that 1963 Cumberland race. Probably met him or knew him, knowing my dad.
