Bob Johnson R.I.P.

A real loss to the Shelby community.
For sure I've seen Bob Johnson race....in Trans Am, I'm pretty sure.
One of the "originals" in the Cobra legacy.

By the way, the beginning of that link came from Rick Kopek (from SAAC).
Rick's younger brother is a former student of mine and we are still friends.
I've ridden in Rick's GT-350H.
 
Found this in the Cumberland Airport Race Photo Archives. From 1963. There were nine photos of Bob Johnson racing Shelby Mustangs and Corvettes.

My dad was entered in that 1963 Cumberland race. Probably met him or knew him, knowing my dad.
