Hi, It is not uncommon to find numbers scribbled on the various car panels. I think that those panels that are inscribed using various methods had a fitment problem and were dedicated to a special car during its build. However, those look like they were put there by a Previous owner for some reason--Fwiw---Keoke

artmck, why not check out your heritage certificate and see if your car was built on/near the 6th of a tuesday in that year? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

[/ QUOTE ] keoke, exactly! the 6th, may have been the beginning or end of the build period of the frame/chassis then got sent off for engine fitting or it could be the date of the total completion of the car, just trying to see if the date corresponds with the build at all, hay it could have been a self reminder note for the fuel take installer that his anniversary was comming up? or his mi-5 agent code name."theyve given you a number and taken away your name"/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the opinions. The car is a 1960 BN7, so I thought the 6T might have been a cryptic sixty. Angels and Demons.
