BN7 Top Clamps

I tried to install the 2 clamps that secure the top to the windshield post and found that they don't even come close to fitting properly. I suspect the vendor sent me the clamps for a Bj7 in error. Can anyone tell me if these clamps bolt to the front header rail or if they bolt to the side rails. I think a BN6 would take the same clamps as the 7. I sent photos of the clamps back to the tech support guy at the vendor and he is trying to identify and correct the problem.

BN6 & BN7 clamps are the same, and might also be shared with the hardtops (not positive about that).

Unfortunately, I don't have a better picture of the clamps immediately available, but I can get some if you need them. This was a random shot when I was making the rollbar...

I have a very nice picture of my top clamp for you but don't see one of those handy paperclip icons for attaching it to this reply. Checked FAQ but says I need to upload to my own website which I don't have and then provide a URL link...ugggg. Anyway, I'll try attaching it to a PM. Would have preferred it to be visible by others.
 
I'm not sure what BN7 top latches look like, but HERE is a picture of the BN6 Drivers side HARD TOP latch.

Open a free account with photobucket and post your photos there. It worked great for me and was real easy to do.

Thanks guys for all the great pictures and information. They confirm that the vendor did in fact send me the wrong part.
Hopefully they will exchange them for the correct clamps.
The problem is that I purchased them 4 years ago when I ordered almost all the parts to restore my car and they have a 1 year return policy. However the part that they did send me is the clamps for a BJ7 but my order recipt does in fact have the part # for a BN7 so I think they would work with me on this matter.
