BN7 Rear Interior Reference Shots

We have gotten our hands on the interior rear quarter panel pieces for our BN7 (which we've never had). We need to upholster them and install. Is there any fabric or material between the vinyl and the wood pieces?

Also, could someone out there post some reference photo's of an installed set of rear quarter panels in the BN7. There is a lower part that goes beside the shut pillar, then another piece on top that covers the rear wheel-wells (the soft top holes are in this piece). We have no idea what the correct fasteners are to use, or the correct location for these fasteners (thus the photo ref.). Any additional details with respect to installation would be greatly appreciated.

If you can wait until the weekend, I will take some pics of my BN6, which I am almost certain is same as the BN7.

Back in November of '03 I wrote the article that was included in "Healey Marque" magazine for the AHCA. That article explains exactly how to install the rear wheel arches. The file is too large to include as an attachment so I'll send you a private message with the file attached. It's in the .pdf format which requires acrobat reader to view.

Johnny and Nevets, Could ya'll copy me on that interior info too? I hope to be getting to that stage sometime soon. Thanks Bob G. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Hello Bob G. Thanks to Basil the info is now in the knowledge base. Just click on the icon at the start of the forums page. I would reccomend anyone who is about to take on the task of installing the rear wheel arch interior sections read that article first. It'll make life a little more pleasant.

There is also an article in the 1/06 issue of Austin Healey Magazine about the BN6/BN7 Tonneau area, written by Anderson, Moment, and Chrysler. At the end of the article, they give Roger Moment's e-mail address (Rmoment@comcast.net) for further information.

Hi

This is an old thread but I have just reached the rear wheel arches in my BN7 restoration and would really appreciate a link to installation images/details for same. Not sure what icon is meant here of if it still applies. Thanks!

I would also like to access an article about covering/installing the interior rear quarter panels in a BN7. Apparently the article that Johnny said was in the knowledge base is no longer there.
