Bought the 57 100-6 I was asking about earlier for value. Turns out it is a S car (standard - no options, disc wheel car). Since it did not come with an overdrive trans, my question is does the differential for this car have a different gear ratio. PO seems to think that it would have. Haven't looked at it or checked it myself. Supposedly this car was used as a new car show car in England but I'm not putting any stock in that. Comments?

Non-OD cars had a 3.55 rear end ratio, I've got one stashed out of a '62 Mk 2 standard, along w/frt hubs for disc wheels.

If it's the original 100-6 differential it would be a 4.1 with overdrive or a 3.91 for non-overdrive cars. Starting with the 3000 BN7/BT7 they changed to 3.91 with overdrive and 3.54 for non-overdrive.

Thanks for the offer,I have 4 good wheels that I know of. I haven't gotten all the parts hauled in and sorted but I will keep your wheels in mind. I'm thinking since the car doesn't have the original engine or trans but does come with a 3000 engine and trans in it, the taller diff gears will make it cruise a little easier down the road.
