BN4 turn indicator blinking very slowly

The indicator on the dash (and the actual lights) has started to blink very slowly and erratically. I know it is an easy answer, but it just eludes me. What's going on with it?

The most likely cause is a poor ground connection. Cleaning the connections at the relay and light sockets would be my first steps...
