I've been having trouble keeping left rear wheel bearings in my BN4. This morning, I measured and the left end of the axle case is bent. Anyone have a spare they are willing to sell?

I have another diff that I could strip out from BJ8 and then theres another one from a 100/6 I could strip. Still frieght is going to be expensive

John - have you talked to any axle places? they might be able to straighten it or cut the end and re-weld it. Gotta believe this sort of thing happens with trucks or farm equipment.
The closest place that I could find was in SoCal. Nothing in this half of the state.

This is a long shot, but my landscaper recommended these guys for hydraulic cylinder and other tractor/farm equipment repair (NFI):

ESSCO Tractor Repair
209.545.0751/209.545.2775

John, assuming you have repaired your car, what was the solution? Did you find someone to straighten the housing or did you replace it?

If the axle case is bent then wouldnt you also get strange tire wear ?

John--

I have had axle tips successfully welded onto the end of the A-series (spridget) axles on two of my race cars. You do nor need to find an axle shop, merely a person with good welding skills who can accurately set up the tip.
