Re: BN4_2Porthead Longbridge Registry

Jim

Those "Aussie bastards" are like us "Poms" - they drive on the wrong side of the road! So no left hand drive cars

Scuse the language but thats how we speak to each other!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Re: BN4_2Porthead Longbridge Registry

Patton - That is interesting the BN4L-O-31472, is not included in Patrick's detailed listing. The build date does appear to be correct for the period. His listing included only BN4-O-31157, BN4-O-42779, and BN4L-O-32920. He compiled the data based on the details from the AU Yearbook for over the last 25 yrs. You would have thought that it would have popped up during that period. Just another Healey trivia mystery waiting to be solved.

Re: BN4_2Porthead Longbridge Registry

Another interesting item just appeared on Ebay # 4590752192 - 1957 Austin Healey 100-6 located in Victoria, BC, Canada - Does anyone know anything about this car? The reg # is listed as BN4L-O-28588. Which makes the car supposedly a 1956 Longbridge car which should have 2 HD4 SUs and Drum brakes, but somebody converted it to the 2 HD6 SUs with the 6 port head and put on front disc brakes. Could it be a possible factory early test model or just another Healey trivia mystery waiting to be solved.
