Just drove the old girl ( BJ7) over to see Bill Rawles today and he has a BN2 in for a sympathetic restoration. Apparently this is the first right hand drive produced, car number 16, pre production. There are some strange things on this car, such as additional holes in the chassis at the bottom of the steering column, bits of angle spacing the dashboard off the bulkhead instead of the pressed metal section, the heel board is flat metal instead of pressed metal. It was restored by JML some 20 years ago but it is having the BRCC treatment now ( Bill Rawles Classic Cars)

He is applying the finishing touches and awaiting the documents for a replica 100 S and I must say that it looks fabulous, there is a Frog Eye in for a rebuild in aluminium at the front end and a 3000 race/ rally car in for some body work touch up. There is a mini undergoing a rebuild - could look fantastic when he has finished with it. An MGB GT is undergoing a make over, it is all go over there.

That's a bit harsh even for you!!!

I will just have to nip over there again ( any excuse ) and oblige. Can't say when - busy tomorrow - guess you will just have to wait.

I recently found his Facebook page where he has a couple thousand pictures. Spent hours going through them. The 100S recreation was very detailed.

Ahggggggg

Had a senior moment!:wall:

For BN2 read BN1 and I can not alter the thread title - Healey Rick was right.

Hoping to get over there and get some piccys this week.
