BN1 Perspex Sidescreens MK 1's

I have asked and received pictures of these before, however lost same due to pc operator malfunction!
However its the questions below I need some help with!

1) Does the "T" rubber in the sidescreen frame have the tail inclined inward or outward?
2) Does the tail as described in (1) sit hard against the door and windscreen pillar or is it just an almost touching fit?
3) Is it cut at the front lower join in the frame and then mitred and glued?
4) Does the perspex fit inside the roof flap, or does the rear of the perspex sit outside the fabric thereby leaving a "gap" to put ones hand in thru so as to open the door?
The perspex is original stock, although it may have settled out of shape slightly whilst in storage
5) Would any of you have some photos of above to help with fitment as this would confirm if fabric on roof sides has been done correctly

Only need help with 4 and 5, have ascertained 1,2,3 from other sources

For some reason, a set of these early screens came with my first BN2 in 1959.

As far as I know, the screens would need to be tucked in each time that you closed the door. The top flaps were the same as with the later BN1, BN2's. It was easier to reach the inside door latch if the tops front hold down snap was released.

The top front of the screens always bowed out at speed & leaked a lot. I made a couple of extension tabs that fit under the top latch knobs to keep the top of the screens from bowing out.

I actually liked them better than the later canvas flap arrangement.

The photo shows what I have come across, that the rear of the perspex does not fit inside the cloth, even standing still!, might be to vent the heat out of the car, or its an early version of flow thru ventilation

Hi All,
Some time ago I asked about these sidescreens and someone sent a pic of these on a car at a show, it was a white car, hope the owner of same reads this and might be able to confirm how it all fits together with the top up!
