BN1 heater wiring

I've just started laying out the wiring loom in the car and there only appears to be two wires coming out for the heater but there are four wires coming out of the heater. As usual none of the several hundred photos I took show this area in sufficient detail to see how it should be done. Am I right in assuming the heater rheostat should just be wired in series with the motor and there are no other wire take offs somewhere else in the loom (the workshop manual wiring diagram doesn't show the rheostat as far as I can see)
 
Steve, you should have a plain green wire from the wiper motor to the rheostat and then onto the heater motor that gives you power. One black wire off the motor for earth. I can send you a colour wiring chart that makes life easier if you have an email address...
