BN1 blue block

I am looking for info pertaining to my 1954 AH 100-4. It has a blue block over-painted at sometime. I am curious if the blue block actually made ti to showrooms or was painted somewhere between the factory and showroom. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Robert, I took a quick look at Anderson & Moment's Restoration Guide and this is what I found, pg. 35: [Healey engines (except for some very early BN1 engines that were painted a medium/dark bluish gray) were painted a metallic medium silver/gray green. This colour, according to Clausager, was called 'steel dust gray'.
