Anyone done one? My brother is entangling himself in this, I've no recollection of what the thing even looks like. Is it buried behind a belt cover or suchlike?

Any clues will be much appreciated. Have long since dropped my "Some Data" subscription, thought the BCF would be my "First Line of Defence" with this.

'92 is what I'm told, Mike.

Nah, it 's a pretty easy pump. Looks like remove the fan, drain the coolant, remove the bolts, and screw 2 ( No data sez M6) bolts into the tapped holes and push the pump out with them. I have done some on the 6 bangers, and it is easy. No data time is 1.5 hrs.

Hi yep that's more or less it, remove top of rad shroud, need thin 32mm spanner to undo viscous coupling ,which has a left hand thread rest is straight forward,if the pump won't pull out ,use the two 6 mm bolts to push it out as already mentioned above

Thank you, gentlemen!

Last water pump I've done was either Herself's Benz or the Alfa. Those are baby poo simple. Last BMW I worked on at all was an old 2002 "greenhouse" and that was a pallet engine change out.

My mamma didn't raise no fool. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
