My father immagrated to the US from England as a boy. He loved every british sports car, and there was always something in our driveway including a big Healey, Lotus, Triumph, and a Rover. My older sister drove an MGB and I bought a 61 MGA to restore when I was 15. I sold the MGA in the early 90's and kick myself ever since! About a year ago I decided it was time to buy another British Sports Car. I strarted looking at MGAs but soon realized what I really wanted was an Austin Healey. It took a while to weed through all the scams and rust buckets but finally located a BJ8 in Rhode Island and had it shipped to my home in Stockton, California. It has been on Jack stands ever since. After replacing break lines and bleeding I found out what a Brake Servo is, as that was bleeding fluid. Attempting to rebuild the Servo now and came here to get advise, most of which discourages trying this. A lockheed may be in my future. Next I will tackle the OD solonoid. I look forward to posting my adventures and reading all of yours!
