Nice, Mark - kind of a Chet Atkins influence there.

Here's my favorite version - these two are nothing short of fantastic! Gabriela joins in around 1:50, then they get cookin'!

Led Zeppelin translates well to acoustic instruments. We do a bunch of tunes (Over the hills and far away, Going to California, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, etc) with my acoustic duo. Just good fun -- good music can translate well to almost any setting.

Neat stuff. Never seen it interpreted these ways. :yesnod:

There's another YouTube version of Rodrigo y Gabriela, at Wychwood, in 2007, that's even better. But there's one point about halfway through when Rodrigo makes a remark that would be censored here.

Pity, 'cause it's a great performance...

I saw that one (with more close-ups). Very impressive.

Being a fan of Led Zeppelin and NOT Blue Grass, you might know my reaction.

Mickey.

No offense intended, but,I've been pickin' grass(professionally) for going on 30 years. I know bluegrass. Bluegrass is a friend of mine. This ain't bluegrass.

Agreed, Jim. Neither was the original posted example!

Zep started out as a "blues" band (sort of). Their first two albums (the only good ones) were mostly covers of blues stuff, not bluegrass.

Me... I'm much more partial to Jethro Tull. Now, where are THOSE interpretations? :yesnod:

We had a BG band at our outdoor country themed reception. BG for south La that is. I'm shure y'alls grass is bluer.

Fun bunch of guys; the Driscal Mountain Boys.

Here's MY kind of music!
Too bad it's not a Ferguson tractor with a TR3 engine. :jester:
