Blue Screen of Death

I had that happen last month and what a PITA. Backups are a blessing. Been running a spare since and just this past Monday mine was reconfigured and tis running decently so far. (knocks on own head)

Had two machines late last week with this issue. New client. One was back to normal after backing out of the updates, the other one is currently on my bench being wiped stupid. The rootkit AND several regkeys FUBAR'd. "30 infected files"... feh. XP Home on a machine used in a business. Slowly they will be converted from "bargain" boxes to purpose built ones.

Doc, Or someone, is there some place on my pc I can look to see what updates have been installed?

Yup. John beat me to it. That should list all the updates, by "KBxxxxx".

In Windows 7, go to "Programs and Features"
