Blue interior for the Bugeye - anyone gone there?

I don't have my new upholstery installed yet, but I have the factory light blue color for my car and chose the dark blue interior. I chose it because I beleive it was original for my car, and I like the color combination. I have seen a number of Bugeyes at car shows, and I felt the colors were quite striking. Just my two cents.

White is always a good choice for an exterior color with blue. My '69 Super Bee was B5 blue outside with blue interior and I really liked it. Dodge B5 blue is a REALLY pretty color blue. Pics won't do it justice, you have to see it in person. Everyone always commented on what a beautiful color blue it was. Should look great on a BE. ( that's if you'll go other than stock.)

I'm going with a darkish blue interior whenever I get that far....the exterior will be 64 Corbra Guardsman blue with white racing stripes. Just my very humble homage to the Cobra!

I think that blue could be fine, as long as the complementing body color goes well with it. It's especially important in LBCs, as they are open cars and the interior and exterior are visible at the same time. Two shades of blue could be very nice.

I see cars for sale frequently that have bad color combinations, and they just don't sell. An extreme example was the purple midget with a beige interior that was discussed here quite a bit.

Of course, practicality is an important consideration. White interiors, for example, look nice (for a while) but aren't terribly practical. Things that don't show dirt are worth considering seriously, especially in a car open to the atmosphere a lot.

Anyway, most important is good taste. If you're like me, and have no color sense, there are plenty of people around who do have it. Doesn't have to be (and probably shouldn't be) a car expert.

I purchased all of my upholstery from Moss a number of years ago. I requested and received color samples before I purchased them. I upholstered the seats and will be installing everything this summer. The colors match perfectly, including the seats and panels, and I was very happy with the quality. I am not sure what the exchange rate is at the moment, but AH Spares might be a good deal at the moment.

This is something I agonized over for a long time.
Finally decided on a brilliant white paint with
a dark (Navy) blue racing stripe and dark blue
interior. Considered a black interior which is
my second choice but settled on blue because you
don't see it often.

Now all I need to do is find the time to finish it!
