Block painted with Ceramic and curing

I was just thinking, with all the mods on the engine, the red is not paint but cheeta blood.

You are correct, all Triumph motors were painted black.

I thought I saw an early TR2 engine that was painted green (at least what paint was left on it). It did not seem like it had been touched ever. Anyone know anything about this?

Steve,

That is an adjustable Vernier Timing Gear. You can loosen the bolts and dial in a cam to either advance or retard the valve timing.

Not really something that one would do without knowing a lot about the actual valve clearances, affects to duration and results to the torque curve, etc.
