how many wires go in to the blinker round thingy?

my left turn dash blinker has stopped working
ive changed the bulb and checked the grounds
the only thing odd (other then me up side down in the seat) is that the blikner round thingy has ports for three wires and only two going in

should be three wires.

green - power from the fusebox and continues to the heater blower motor. I think it is socket marked B.

light green/ purple - maybe marked P - this should go to the dash signal lights

light green/ brown - maybe marked L - this to the actual signal lights.

I'm not clear whether it is only the dash bulb that has stopped working. If so, and, if the right is still working, there are 2 possibilities.

1. the most likely to my mind is that one Light green purple wire has come unplugged. There is a bullet connector between the flasher unit and the bulbs where one LGP wire goes in and two come out. look there.

2. There is not a good connection between the switch and the left wire. power comes in from the flasher, through the bulb and is grounded through the switch on the steering column. Since this is in the steering column and given that you are leaving any minute, live with it!

have a safe trip!

I wish I could have sodderd it
