Would ya'll think that my tribute to the Bumble Bee hoses is a bit much? And should I be posting on the Lowriders Forum? I guess I should maybe repaint it a more subdued colour. Idle hands.

I dunno, I kinda like it - gives it that 'industrial' look!

Hello Bill,

just a point, it is better if the battery terminals are on the opposite side to the clamp to prevent the terminals and the clamp meeting and causing a severe short in the event of a bump. Yours do look to have some clearance though, it is a relevant point to someone who re-polarises their car and turns the battery around to allow connection to the reversed terminals.
Sorry, I don't like the clamp either.

Personally ,I like the red top to the fuel pump, now that is pimp!

you must have been buzzed when you did that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Well, Bill, at least you won't step on it
Seriously, if you want a superior battery bracket, check out the one on Herman's (5 speed conversion) web site www.hvdaconversions.com

I second Alec's statement. I can't remember if it was on my first TR3 or my TR-250 that I had the battery cables almost touching the bar, and when I went to loosen the nut on the terminal with a wrench...ZAP! Big old sparks. Scared the you know what out of me.

Hey, where are the neon lights, LEDs and strobing lasers? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Actually, I like it.

Hmmm, industrial style, yes, I can see that.

Or maybe it should be called the "CSI/crime scene tape" look. (Looking at it right now, my TR4 might be considered a crime scene.)

If you're gonna call it "bumble bee" scheme, aren't you going to need to change the plug wires to match?

It's your car! Have fun! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

p.s. The only problem with reorienting the battery terminals to be away from the bracket is *lifting one of those Optimas while leaning over the engine compartment*... those suckers are *heavy*!
