bleeding the brakes

Can i use an "Easy Bleed" on my brake servo, will it work ?
basically this has it's own resevoir and works on air pressure to force the fluid round the system and bleed out the air, it saves having someone there pumping the brakes.
Don't know if it would damage the servo though ?

I used it and it worked well. You may need to adjust the tire pressure to a lower setting than what is suggested. Biggest isue for me was cleaning the contraption afterwards.

I single handily bleed the brakes using a "jam" jar. As long as the jar is elevated above the bleeder and there is brake fluid in the jar, you can let the peddle out without air getting in once the tube is full of fluid. Just pump until the bubbles are in the jar then get out and close the bleeder.

I read in another post on this topic that the bleed screw threads should be wrapped with teflon tape to prevent air from being drawin back into the pipes (apparently once loosened, the threads do not make for a perfect seal). That bit of advice was offered by our good friend Dave Russell.

You don't need to use teflon tape unless you are using a vacuum bleeder.

I gave up with the ezee bleeder, it wasn't so easy, tried your method and seemed to work. I'll find out when i get it out of the shed, if i hit the fence i'll know i best try again !!!
